We are the champions!
The year 2008 will be one to remember, the Chelsea VS. Manchester United rivalry just keeps getting better. First there was the Premier League title race, Chelsea was a close 2nd and could have captured the crown if United slipped up although if the drew on points in the league table, Manchester United would have won on the enormous goal difference.
With the last game of the season, Chelsea drew and Manchester won their respective games, ensuring the the reds are the Champions again. And speaking of Champions and Chelsea, the UEFA Champions League final was historic.
The UEFA Final was the first all English match and will be a classic. Chelsea lost to Manchester United on penalties and it could have gone either way as they drew 1-1 in regulation time. The penalty shootout was dramatic and emotional as Ronaldo's attempt was saved by Cech, but luckily for us Red Devils, John Terry slipped on his try, literally missing the target as he fell on the wet surface.
Alas Arsenal will just have to try harder next year.
