Michael Carrick is Manchester United's new midfield signing

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to the transfer of Michael Carrick, conditional upon the player agreeing personal terms with Manchester United. Pending a medical on Monday, it looks as though Carrick will be the new midfielder that coach Alex Ferguson has been targeting to replace Roy Keane.
